Palace History
The Le Monnier palace is located in Via San Gallo 33, Florence. The historic Le Monnier Library was hosted there. The large building is of the seventeenth-century origin, but was remodeled in the nineteenth century. It was originally ordered to be built by musician and singer Domenico Melani as a hotel for pilgrims to Rome, as a religious thanksgiving for the gift of his wonderful voice.
